Precum - What is it?
|
Many men and women don't realize that an unexpected pregnancy can take place from intimate contact with that particular type of fluid. They often mistake that since the liquid is clear it doesn't contain sperm but this can lead to an unwanted pregnancy and precautions should always be taken. Educating people about precum is very important because there is plenty of bad information out there about it. If the male has had an ejaculation of sperm in the past day or so, there will likely be sperm present in the precum. However, there have been some men that have it sperm in it even when no ejaculation has taken place for the past several days. Since you just can't be sure the best action it to be preventative. Make sure that birth control is used if you aren't trying to become pregnant. Since this is a type of bodily fluid, it is also possible for a sexually transmitted disease to be passed on from precum. Therefore it is a good idea to use a condom even if you also take birth control pills to prevent pregnancy. You definitely don't want to take the risk of exposing yourself to any type of sexual disease that the other party may have, especially if you or they have other sexual partners. It has been verified that even HIV can be transmitted from one person to the next through precum. Many males have the misconception that if they pull out of a female before they actually ejaculate she can't get pregnant. They also don't want to wear condoms as they claim they can't get the full satisfaction of being with a woman when they do. Take the time to try different types of condoms though as many of them are designed to ensure you have the same level of sensitivity that you do without one. It is always important to be very responsible when it comes to your sexual activity. Understanding what precum is and how it can affect you will allow you to understand the importance of such protection. There are simply too many unwanted pregnancies out there, too many people with sexually transmitted diseases, and too many people diagnosed with HIV for it not to be important.
