Premature Hair Loss Products

There are many premature hair loss products on the market today, and different hair loss products can work in different ways. Products that prevent or slow the progression of premature hair loss can come in different forms, such as pills, shots, or shampoos.

One of the most popular premature hair loss products is Finasteride, which is marketed in different brand names. Finasteride is taken in pill form, and works by preventing the male hormone testosterone from converting into dihydrotestosterone, or DHT. DHT is one of the factors that contribute to hair loss. Finasteride needs to be taken regularly and over a period of time in order to be effective. Although Finasteride has been shown to cause birth defects in developing male offspring, therefore making it unsafe for pregnant women to take or even touch, it is generally safe for healthy men to take. It can cause allergic reactions in a a few men, but this is rare, and men who have liver disease may not be able to take it, or may need to take lower-than-normal doses. Other less serious side effects that usually go away over time include difficulty achieving or maintaining an erection, decreased sex drive, or breast tenderness.

Many men prefer to use more natural premature hair loss products to avoid side effects and save money. There are several herb and/or vitamin treatments for premature hair loss that have been snown to be effective. The herb Saw Palmetto can stimulate hair growth and slow the progression of hair loss, and is one of the most popular and effective natural remedies. Some other natural remedies that are used to prevent or slow hair loss are Ginko Biloba, which increases blood flow to the head, green tea, and vitamin B-12 shots.

There are shampoos and topical solutions out on the market today that are available either over the counter or by prescription, that can help prevent or slow premature hair loss. If used regularly, usually every day, these shampoos or topical solutions will increase the size of shrunken hair follicles, thus promoting more hair growth, as well as thicker hair growth. Whether using hair loss treatment shampoo or a topical solution that is applied directly to the scalp, some men may experience side effects such as dandruff or a rash on the scalp. These side effects are generally mild and can usually be treated without discontinuing the use of the shampoo or topical solution.

Although some men used to have to simply resign themselves to the fact that they were losing their hair, the many premature hair loss products on the market today make it much easier to combat this problem.
