Prepaid gas cards versus gas credit cards

Increasing gas price is a fact that we are all facing right now. It is a problem where in we cannot just close our eyes on that and puff there it goes no more problem. It is becoming a reality everyday, something that we are forced to live with as we open our eyes in the morning and as we close our eyes at night. I’m sure you have read a lot of ways how to maximize your mileage and all that but there are more options than those ways that you should do. You can either get a gas credit card or a prepaid gas card.

Credit card has promptly became a must in today’s society. Seldom will you see people paying for cash. It has become more useful to everyone since you can use this to pay for your travel, your eat outs, your shopping and your online purchases. It has become a medium to transact business. Other stores like the rent a car would usually look for a credit card under your name in order for business to push through. Credit cards have helped consumers buy things that they need that they couldn’t afford to pay in full. The system behind this credit card is more of a lending system where in the credit card company pays for what you bought and later on you pay them on monthly basis. The amount that you purchase is being added to your credit card account and each month you will receive your billing stating how much you owe the credit card company. There are a lot of advantages in using gas credit card, the most important one is convenience. You will no longer bring cash on your pocket instead you bring your gas credit card to pay for all your purchases, not just on gas. No need to wait for your change when your in a rush all you have to do is just swipe it off. Not just that, as part of the credit card companies program, each purchase of gas using your gas card you get back a percentage of amount of money you paid. Plus if you use your gas card for your other purchases there are rewards that will be given having the amount you paid as a basis.

Prepaid gas cards are more like that of your phone cards. The main purpose of this is to buy fuel. What the consumer needs to do is just buy this prepaid gas card in advance and use the car whenever the consumer needs to fuel up. What is good about this is that you don’t need to pay for monthly bills. It can also be used in many locations. But whatever prepaid gas card company you bought your card you will only be allowed to use that with that company. For example if you bought a Shell card you will only be allowed to use that on a shell gas station. Which will make you drive the long way to gas up at the gas station that is of the same company as your gas card, and while driving you will be wasting some of your gas.
