Protein Shake Recipes - Four Recipes for Tasty Smoothies and Dishes
|
The first protein shake recipes that you can try out is for spaghetti sauce. This is a very simple recipe. First you will need a plain or natural flavor shake mix and your favorite spaghetti sauce. The spaghetti sauce can be homemade or it can come from a can. You will need to experiment with the quantity of the plain shake mix to ensure that your sauce is not too thick or too thin. For a full can of spaghetti sauce you will want to put in two to four scoops of plain or natural flavored protein shake mix. Stir over medium heat until the sauce is heated through, and the powder is fully incorporated. Taste the sauce to see if it is too thick or too bitter. If the sauce is too thick then you can add a little water to thin it out. If the sauce is bitter you can add in a teaspoon of sugar to counteract the bitterness of the protein powder. The second protein shake recipes that you can try is for a pina colada smoothie. For this recipe you will need pina colada protein shake mix, 8 ounces of pineapple juice, and four to six ice cubes. You will also need a blender. First place 8 ounces of pineapple juice in the blender, two scoops of shake mix, and the ice cubes. Put the lid on your blender and blend the smoothie until the ice has been crushed and the drink is thoroughly mixed. To make a thicker drink you can add an extra scoop of powder, or you can replace more of the juice with ice. The third protein shake recipes that you can try out is for peanut butter chocolate chip cookies. For this recipe you will need chunky peanut butter protein shake mix and your favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe. First you will want to cream together your butter and sugar. Next add in between two and four scoops of your protein shake mix and mix thoroughly. Taste to see if the peanut butter flavor is strong enough. If it isn't, then you will want to add one or two more scoops. When the peanut butter flavor is perfect you can finish adding in the rest of your ingredients and bake your cookies following the direction on the bag. The fourth protein shake recipe that you can try is for blue berry pancakes. For this recipe you will need pancake mix, blue berry protein shake mix, fresh or frozen blue berries. Mix together you dry ingredients including the shake mix. Then add in your liquids and eggs. Finally stir in your blue berries. Heat up your griddle and grease it so the pancakes won't stick. Next pour your batter and allow it to cook until the bubbles around the edges pop. Flip the pancakes and allow it to finish cooking.
