Before his career in adult movies, he was raised in an upper middle class family. The star of adult movies had a mother who was a book editor and a father who was a physicist. He posed for Playgirl after his girlfriend sent the magazine a photo of him. It was shortly after this that his career in adult movies began. To support himself, he starred in his first of many adult movies in a porno film called Snap. It was at this point that he started using his first and middle names professionally for the adult movies. Ron Jeremy got his nickname in 1979 from Bill Margold while he was shooting one of his most popular adult movies, Olympic Fever. At one point he had suffered from near hypothermia, and the crew had to rush him to a hot shower to warm up. His skin was bright pink, and the hairs on his entire body stood on end, just like a hedgehog. Adult movie star Ron Jeremy is in the Guinness Book of World Records for having the most appearances in adult movies. He lists more than 1900 adult movies to his name, and also has another 275 adult movies that he directed. For his incredible amount of work and time spent with adult movies, Ron Jeremy has been inducted into the Adult Video News Hall of Fame and also the XRCO Hall of Fame.
