Salmonilla
|
It is very important to understand the right way to prepare foods in order to reduce the risk of salmonilla. Make sure you wash your hands before you handle raw foods. Always use clean knives for cutting them and wash off the counters thoroughly after you are done. If you place other foods on top of the surface without cleaning it them cross contamination can occur. A leading cause of salmonilla is not cooking foods completely. When you are preparing meats you need to cook them completely. Those individuals that like their meat rare or even medium rare have a higher risk of being exposed to salmonilla. Leaving food out on the counters when they should be refrigerated is another way in which it occurs. Items such as potato salad are a huge problem especially when they are outdoors for cookouts or picnics due to the heat. Sometimes an outbreak of salmonilla can occur when people eat foods at a restaurant or the same location such as a family gathering. It is important to find the source of the contamination so that other people don't become ill. Sometimes it can take a while to find the common link though, especially if people aren't related to each other but happen to be in the same place to get food. Common symptoms of salmonilla include stomach cramps, vomiting, fever, chills, and diarrhea. A person may experience these symptoms for several days which puts them at the risk of dehydration. The onset of them may be immediate or it can take several days for them to appear. It is that delay that also makes it harder to pinpoint the foods that the salmonilla came from. It is a good idea to see your doctor or to go the emergency room if you think you may be suffering from food poisoning. They can give you fluids to help ensure you stay hydrated. While most people do make a full recovery it can be a long few days when you are suffering from salmonilla. Some people continue to suffer symptoms afterwards including sore joints and pain when they urinate. This is due to internal damage that took place during the time when the bacteria was in the body.
