Schnoodle - A Fun Mixed Breed



A Schnoodle is a very fun type of dog, but not one that is a purebred. Instead it is a cross between a Schnauzer and a Poodle. They have become increasingly popular as many pet owner's want to have a more original looking dog than other people around them. In recent years it has been recognized by the American Canine Hybrid Club. However, they only accept the Schnoodle's that have been crossed by 100% purebreds. The registry has to have the names of the parents on them for cross reference.

The Schnoodle has become more famous due to many celebrities owning them. It seems that when that category of our society has something many others try to conform to it as well. Yet the more people are around the Schnoodle breed the more they seem to enjoy them. There is certainly plenty of benefit offered from them to take notice of. The exact size and coloring of a Schnoodle will vary so you can be sure there will be plenty of great features for you to look at when you are considering buying one.

Some of them have hair that is very curly which is a feature of the Poodle. The coat can be soft or it can be coarse depending on the characteristic that the puppy took from one of its parents. It can be fun to compare the look and feel of puppies from the same litter due to the different genetic characteristics that they offer.

There are many benefits to owning a Schnoodle as they are loving dogs and very loyal to their owner. They are a medium sized dog so you can choose to keep yours inside or outdoors. They are full of energy and love to play from the time they are puppies. Children interact very well with the Schnoodle and they can form a long lasting bond. They are also very easy to potty train which most owners will definitely appreciate.

Grooming is very easy when you have a Schnoodle as well. They need to be brushed regularly but they don't shed much. Since their hair can grow fast they should be clipped with a home grooming kit or by a professional every six weeks to keep them looking their very best. Some people would love to have a dog, but due to their allergies they can't. Research has shown that many of them are very receptive though when it comes to a Schnoodle being in the home. Their desire to own a dog can now become a reality.

So far there haven't been any serious health concerns noted with the Schnoodle. However, there are individual concerns with certain dogs due to various health issues that can hinder any dog. A proper diet from an early age as well as plenty of exercise can help ensure that your Schnoodle is both happy and healthy.
