Maybe you have always enjoyed the ocean and all the life that inhabits it, or maybe you have decided you want your child to be a marine biologist in the future, either way you may enjoy creating an under the sea baby room for your new little one. There are a variety of things you can use in this room to bring about a great sea life effect that will impress all who see this room. One way to get started with your marine baby room is by purchasing seahorse crib bedding for the baby's crib. This is a great place to start with this room.

You can go on through the room elaborating on the beautiful marine theme. If you really want to get into this theme you may want to start by painting the room a beautiful marine blue so it looks like ocean water. Then you can get stencils, patterns, or even wallpaper stick-ons that are made to look like sea creatures. This will get the walls into the theme of things. Make sure you add some sea greenery as well so it truly looks like you are in the ocean.

Another way to enhance your under the sea baby room is by finding curtains that go along with this theme. Whether you get seahorse curtains to match the seahorse crib bedding, or your find some other kind of curtains that fit the theme, they will be sure to add to the beauty of the room. If you cannot find curtains that appeal to you, then you may want to check at a fabric store and make your own curtains. It may take a bit more work, but it will probably be cheaper, and then you can pick out exactly what you want for curtains.

You can find a variety of baby accessories to go in your marine themed baby room. There are diaper pails, chair pads for rocking chairs, and cabinets that can be made to go along with this theme. If you really want to get creative you could make a small dresser to hold baby clothes that looks like a treasure chest buried in the ocean. You can also find light switch covers and outlet covers that will go along with your theme as well. You may also want to look for stuffed animals to go in the baby crib that are based upon a marine theme. Maybe stuffed animals from Finding Nemo or The Little Mermaid may be appropriate for this room. You can find these kinds of stuffed animals at a variety of Disney stores.

Create a room that is based on a marine theme will be great for a girl or a boy. It will be a relaxing room that will also help to teach your child about nature. If you decided to do things yourself you will also be able to save yourself a lot of money as well. You never know; your child may grow up and be a marine biologist after all since they early became familiar with sea life.
