As with most Sealy Posturepedic matteress review websites, people that liked this mattress really liked it and people that didn't like it really didn't like it. The thing about this mattress model is that it is marketed under several different names by several different mattress brands. Those that liked their Sealy Posturepedic mattress felt that it was a durable mattress of moderate firmness. Though satisfied customers stated their overall enjoyment of their Sealy Posturepedic mattress, many of these same customers complained about the price. One customer that bought a Sealy Posturepedic mattress said that it was the first mattress she'd bought that lasted longer than a couple of years. Though there were some indentations after just eight months, she said it had, in fact, become even more comfortable to sleep on than when it was first delivered. This customer's only complaint was that the silk-like material that covers the Sealy Posturepedic mattresses is so slippery that it makes keeping sheets on the mattresses difficult. Certainly the addition of a mattress pad would help with this problem. In all honesty, you can find several mattresses that are comparable to the Sealy Posturepedic mattress and cost much less money. Many users on several different mattress review websites felt that the Sealy Posturepedic mattress was extremely overpriced for the quality and durability. Something else I noticed about the Sealy Posturepedic mattress reviews that I read was that many of the shining five star reviews were from those that clearly stated the mattress was used for a child or as a guest bed. It seems that this information would reduce the average rating to something more like two and a half or three stars. For the most part, users seem to be relatively satisfied with their Sealy Posturepedic mattresses. Though most of the styles of mattresses are overpriced and can be found elsewhere, under different labels, for much less, there is something to be said for a well known brand name, it appears. The Sealy name is just that, a name. They have been making mattresses for several decades. But more importantly, they've mastered the art of making money on so-so mattresses. The Sealy company can take a mattress of moderate quality and durability and then stick a price tag that's twice as much as other comparable mattresses.
