Secrets Of Attracting Abundance And Having An Abundant Mindset
|
We’ve grown used to letting our environment take over our thought patterns and emotions. For example, one lousy experience makes us grumpy and unapproachable. But have you ever thought about letting your thought patterns and emotions influence your environment instead? That is what having an abundant mindset is about. Think about it. When you’re a generally happy person, you don’t let an unsuccessful experience hang about you like a rain cloud all day. Instead, you see what has happened from a different and more positive angle. This point of view is what leads people to better opportunities and better performance. Tap into Your Abundant Mindset How do you get into a more abundant state of mind anyway? Well, that’s basically a no brainer. All you have to do is think in terms of abundance. If it’s money you want, think about having more than enough to spend around. Don’t look at your piggy bank and frown at the thought of having to break it. Don’t think of money in terms of something unattainable and rare. Think of it as something that you have lots of, and something that eventually makes its way back to you. For people who have issues with money, this kind of thinking might be completely out of their comfort zone. These people hang on to their money tightly and hardly ever bring their wallets out. They try their best not to spend a penny and scrimp on everything they can scrimp on. This is the woman who haggles to death over a kilo of oranges in the market. This is the man who refuses to buy a new shirt even though all his clothes have holes in them. Sound familiar? While there’s nothing really wrong with being thrifty and saving money, there is also something called the scarcity mindset—the polar opposite of what we’re trying to achieve here. By thinking such negative thoughts, they are depriving themselves of the chance to get more out of life. Such an attitude sends out negative vibes to others. And in the long run, they get no value for their money at all. Abundance Attracts Abundance Having an abundant mindset enriches your life in more ways than one. The personal, financial and even professional aspects of your life are all affected by the kind of mindset you hold. Thinking in terms of success and abundance will attract opportunities for growth. Let’s make an example of Farmer A and Farmer B. Both farmers are growing the same crops in the same kind of field. The difference lies in their attitude towards their land. Farmer A feels good about his harvest. He thinks that all his crops will turn out well and that they will bring prosperity to his family. Meanwhile, Farmer B has a more grim expectation. He keeps his head low and tightens the budget to prepare for the worst. Whose fields will turn out better? Who do you think will benefit more? Farmer A, who loves his crops and thinks highly of them, will definitely be able to get more buyers than Farmer B, that’s for sure. How we think and how we feel has an invisible impact on future occurrences. Abundance attracts abundance. Farmer B will just have to keep tightening his belt to make ends meet. Simple Ways of Attracting Abundance When you have an abundant mindset, it has to reflect on your environment as well. A lot of people recommend keeping your home in good shape. Don’t let your furniture fall apart. Keep everything neat and dust-free. This sort of visual helps you attract abundance into your home as opposed to having a ratty couch full of holes and scratches. Sometimes, it’s also nice to splurge on things. If there’s something to celebrate, take your family out to a good restaurant. Or if you can afford that kilo of tomatoes anyway, don’t haggle too much. Abundance doesn’t only concern you. Abundance is also about the people around you. Abundance is not expendable. It is something that is shared and rotated. The money you spend will one day come back to you. How? Well, you paid for your tomatoes. The vendor gets to pay his/her electric bills. The electric company happens to be the same as your own; and because everyone is paying his dues on time, the company remains stable and strong. You seldom get blackouts in your area and all is well in the land. Of course, every story is different. Every abundance cycle takes a different route. It all starts with you and your abundant mindset.
