Shavers: What is Wet Shaving

r>The perfect and the closest is the ultimate goal for both men and women. Men still experience those razor burns and cuts on their faces and women on their legs, which do not give a very attractive look overall. Most if not all men strive for the smooth and clean skin, but why is it so difficult? Because the North American world is always pressed for time, men do not take time to shave properly. Now that more and more men are caring more about their personal appearances everyday, they must now learn to master the art of shaving. It is a surprise that wet shaving has been increasingly popular nowadays.

What is wet shaving? Wet shaving is when you use hot water before, during and after your shave. Wet shaving is actually a great way to shave because it reduces irritation and leaves your with greater looking skin, when the blades contacts your skin and you facial hair, it glides on you skin opposed to dragging across your skin. When using hot water against your skin, it opens up the pores on your skin, loosens up the muscles on your face, and softens your hairs. When dry-shaving, you tug the hairs instead of closely slicing it off the surface of your skin, by tugging your hairs, it leaves irritation on your skin.

When wet-shaving, all you need a good razor, brush, and a shaving cream that has glycerin. Swirl some shaving cream on to the tip shaving brush and placing it on your face allows the combination of both hot water and the shaving cream to create a rich lather. By using the up and down motion with the shaving brush, the individual hairs stand up and make it easier for a closer shave. As for the razor, I highly recommend a non-disposable razor, I prefer the classic double-edge safety razor because it provides a closer and more comfortable having eliminating any irritation at all. For African men with very coarse facial hair and shave bumps, the double-edge safety razor is the best. A reason not use a disposable razor is because it is harsh on the skin, leaving red irritation. The most important aspect of wet-shaving is keeping your skin wet with hot water. Fill up a sink full of hot water while emerging your shaving brush at the same time. Allow the water to drip out of the brush and now begin swirling the shaving cream on to the brush. Start applying the shaving cream with the brush on your face or legs in an up and downwards motion. Now, shave downwards because this is usually the direction of your hair growth, this prevents irritations while ridding your stumble hairs at the same time.

If you want a close shave, shave upwards to avoid irritation. Rinse your face or legs thoroughly and pat dry with a towel. I recommend you splashing with cold water to close all your pores. Finish shaving with your favourite smelling after shave or moisturizer, I suggest a non-alcohol based after shave. Don't forget to thoroughly wash your brush and razor, with proper maintenance, the brush can last over twenty years. Shaving should be an enjoyable experience each time, with the proper equipment and tips, a clean and close shave is easy to obtain.
