Shower Remodel - Considering Your Options
|
- Pre-Fabricated shower: If you are just looking to replace your shower with something brand new but don't want to go into too much detail or have something too fancy, a pre-fabricated shower might be just what you need. This is a fairly easy shower remodel, as most of the shower and stall are built in a factory before it gets to you. Your job will be to install, and there will be step by step instructions with the pre-fabricated shower. - Shower and bath together: If your bathroom is one where the shower and the bathtub are separate, you may be considering building a combination bath and shower instead. Some people do this type of shower remodel in order to free up more space in a bathroom, others simply prefer their bath and shower to be together and may have moved into a home where they were apart. - Walk-in Shower: Of course, all showers need to be walk-in showers, but in industry terms a walk-in shower means something much roomier than standard showers. A walk-in shower stands on its own with no bathtub, and usually is surrounded by strong plexiglass, either clear or frosted. There is usually a regular pull door, and as the name implies, you can walk right in and there is plenty of room. Many people choose this for a step up in shower remodel. - Multi-head shower: This almost always goes hand in hand with a walk-in shower. When you do a multi-head shower remodel, you usually install a shower head on three different sides of the shower - and sometimes on all sides. This provides you with a wonderful shower experience; like getting an all-over massage as well as a shower. These are only a few examples of the types of showers you can consider for your shower remodel. A good idea is to consult with a designer or a builder - and possibly even a plumber - to make sure that what you have in mind will fit well in your bathroom and with your overall dcor.
