Simple Fixes For Known Xbox 360 Glitches

The Xbox 360 console is very popular for its fast processing speed, fantastic graphics, multimedia functionalities, and its plethora of games. It is also renowned for its Xbox only games, like Halo, Fable, Mass Effect, Gears of War, Left 4 Dead, Banjo Kazooie, and much much more.

What the Xbox 360 is not known for is reliability. In simple terms, the Xbox 360 is regarded as a buggy console that is peppered with a great deal of Xbox 360 glitches.

If it weren't for these Xbox 360 glitches, the console could be well far head in the sales charts consistently. But due to these Xbox 360 glitches, gamers do not know whether the console is a wise investment. The Xbox 360 isn't cheap, by any means, and people don't need to spend their saved up cash on something that has a 16% chance ( according to Microsoft, but 3rd party guesses climb as high as 65%) of accumulating errors in the 1st two years.

A few of the Xbox 360 glitches have straightforward fixes. Below is a list of the most common Xbox 360 glitches and ways on how to remedy them.

1. 1 red light error. This error code can either mean a DVD read error or a dashboard update error. Fixing either of these Xbox 360 glitches can be simple, or it can be really hard. Attempt to reinstall any dashboard update, first and foremost. If such Xbox 360 glitches endure,, trying inserting another disc. If the problem persists, the most likely offender is a broken DVD reader which may need to be replaced.

2. 2 red light error. This error code relates to console overheating problems, the most usual of the Xbox 360 glitches. Allow your Xbox 360 to rest for a couple of hours. Remember, a couple of HOURS and not minutes. Before firing up your console again, ensure that the system is receiving enough ventilation to prevent heat from being stuck inside its case.

3. 3 red lights. This error is the most dreaded of Xbox 360 errors, and the most dreaded of the Xbox 360 glitches. The 3 red lights of doom, which has been abbreviated as 3RL or 3RLOD, indicate a console hardware fault, which essentially means that your console is totally broken. There are some techniques that may fix the 3RL error, like the fan shroud alteration and the x-clamp fix approach and the penny trick method, but none of them can guarantee that the 3RL error code will not occur again. There is also a "fake 3RL" which appears when there is a power fluctuation. This "fake 3RL" is the most harmless of the Xbox 360 glitches, as merely restarting the Xbox 360 will look after the problem.

4. 4 red lights. Power cable is not connected properly. Secure the connection and Xbox 360 glitches like these won't trouble you again.
