Simple Graduation Decorating Ideas

There are lots of excellent graduation decorating ideas. The ideas can be for indoor and outdoor venues. The ideas can also be for large venues, a home party or even a restaurant, for example. The whole point is to set up a venue that really makes the party exciting. You need the venue to really make guests feel they have entered another world. You may have a theme in mind such as pirates and if you can set up the venue to really feel like a pirate ship, then you have achieved your aim. For a graduation party at home, for example, you may want your guests to enter the graduate’s life and feel a sense of celebration about the graduation. There are lots of ideas on how to do this. The bigger decorations which will start to shape the venue are things like murals, gossamers, scene setters and a grand entrance.

Clearly the entrance is the first thing the guests see and it does need to impress them. An archway of balloons with a graduation banner over the doorway is a great start. However you can go further than that and have a standee of the graduate at the door, excellent lighting that focuses attention on the entrance and perhaps a photo of the graduate projected onto the wall beside the entrance. You may be able to come up with more ideas, but these are a good start.

Particularly for a large venue there will be bare walls to decorate. You may just need to give the walls color or you may want to make a real statement with the wall covers. To give the walls some cover there are excellent gossamers. They come is a huge range of colors and are rather large. They can add a real color effect. If you want to enhance the party decorations in some way then murals and scene setters are excellent. You may know an artist who can create a mural that reflects the scene you are trying to create. That could be a huge mural of the graduate, the graduate and friends or even the graduate playing sport. The mural could be on a party theme. That could be a Madi Gras scene, a pirate ship, a Mexican town, a plane or a baseball game for example. You can also buy scene setters. Some great scene setters just fit right around the walls. One of the best ones I have seen is a 1950s ice cream parlor. The pastel colors and detail on the interior was excellent.

There are lots of other graduation decorating ideas like lighting, balloons, streamers and banners. Also graduate tribute boards and memorabilia tables. Each of the graduation party ideas can be fun to do.
