Six Pack: Abs Excercise and Proper diet



Are you tired of sitting on your couch and watching those late night infomercials that try to sell you miracle products that can give you the perfect set of six-packs? Turn off and your television and get to work. In reality, mechanisms, such as the Ab Rocker or the Ab Roller are actually the worst and least effective, even the basic crunch done on the floor is more effective than that expensive piece of junk. However, when exercising, people get too caught up on working as hard as they can in a short period of time in order to get their desired result. Balancing your workout and the proper diet are the keys to the ideal six-pack.

So, you want to get rid of those 'love handles' and by doing a million crunches a day it will really be gone fast. That is a major myth is that by doing one exercise, in this case, doing crunches will rid your fat. This same goes when trying to get a flat stomach, to get rid of the fat you must go on and maintain a balanced diet. Your diet should burn more calories than you consume. When you are eating, you should eat many vegetables, preferably dark greens and a lot of fresh fruit. I recommend choosing whole grain/wheat instead of white and egg whites (excluding yolks). Try to eat fish, lean red meat, and Chicken breasts as your meat source and avoid sugary foods and saturated fats.

To get yourself fabulous abs, I suggest you exercise three times a week, but don't always focus on doing crunches, you should try other exercises that keep your heart rate up, such as running or swimming. Include some weight training into your weekly exercises in order to burn additional calories. By always doing crunches it will actually shorten your abs, and even worse you can give you bad posture because your head is constantly being pulled forward. I suggest doing the exercise, "the stomach vacuum" ten to fifteen times a day. What is it? The stomach vacuum consists of ducking in your stomach for ten to twenty seconds. You can do these stomach vacuums while you are working, in the shower, or cooking.

The nest exercise equipment to invest in is the exercise ball, they are relatively inexpensive compared to other exercising equipment and effective as well. The exercise ball is the ideal for any ab exercises, such as rolls, twists, and of course crunches. Due the fact your body is steady on the ball, many of your muscles are being worked out. Don't even bother with purchasing those false-advertised ab machines on late night commercials, you are able to get a amazing without spending all that money on a piece of device that will do you not good.

If you are worried about not staying on your balanced diet, keep yourself in order by maintaining a food log, this is where everything you eat and drink is being recorded. A food calculator is helpful because it helps you count the calories you consume each day. If you are having trouble starting with your diet, begin slow, instead of eating fatty snacks, like chips and cookies, replace it with healthier choices, such as vegetables and fruit. Your body will decide when you will lose the fat; unfortunately, some may not lose their fat at all, but it all depends on how devoted you are. Exercising should be a stress reliever and a way of healthy living, you should not focus on the end result too much, just remember be exercising and eating healthy, you will come out with a healthier lifestyle.
