A nice tattoo on the back that is shown only when going out into town to enjoy night life, or one decorating the wrist that can be easily covered by a bracelet, are women's favorites. If you feel like a rebel inside, but you still want to enjoy your social status, a small tattoo is the thing for you. Men, like women, love to show a little bit of their wild side, even if during the week they work in offices like many other people. The design is everything when you want to get a small tattoo, if you want to really represent you and your personality. Try to visualize the differences between the various sizes and make use of a ruler to imagine how big will look a one inch tattoo or a two inch tattoo. Draw an imaginary circle to see how big will look on your skin after you get that tattoo. The location is also important as tattoos may look bigger when placed in certain locations on your body and smaller in others. For instance, if you want to get a tattoo on your shoulder blade it will be hardly noticeable while if you place it on the ankle, it will attract others' looks. Another thing you must keep in mind when you decide for a small tattoo is that you cannot put everything you want in its design. You will need to sacrifice details as you do not want the tattoo to look crowded and indecipherable. Go for a simple design and you will get the biggest effect possible. Remember that you get a tattoo, it is not so easy to wipe it out from your skin. Also, as the colors of the tattoo tend to blend together over the years, if you put a small tattoo with a complicated design on your body, you will not be able to see it the same way after some time. When you see a tattoo design that you fall in love with but it is too big for what you have in mind, you must ask the tattoo artist if the model is scaleable. If the details are not too many, maybe the design can be downsized and you can have it. But the advice to get a tattoo with simple features stands still. There is a wide variety of designs to choose from, so you do not have to worry. Whether you decide for a cross, a rose, a dolphin, a star or a geometric tattoo, make sure the small tattoo you would like to have looks great on you.
