Spiritual Growth: One, Duality, Trinity
|
This three-part description is further defined by various arts and sciences in the same manner when they talk about the id, ego, and superego, or the conscious, subconscious and super conscious, or energy, matter and anti-matter. We recognize these triads in the relative world we live in as aspects of the way life is defined and viewed from the big picture. However, life in the physical world, the world of relationship, is defined by dualities. That is what relativity is all about. You define something in relation to what it is not. Hot-cold, left-right, up-down, tall-short, male-female, and good-bad are typical examples of dualities that define our lives. The most important duality from which we make all choices in life is love and fear. It is important to understand that fear does not even exist in the realm of the absolute from which all things came. Fear came into existence when the physical world of relativity was created. In the realm of the absolute, God is all that is, and in the physical world of the relative, God is the source of all that is. At God's core is love, so love is all that is. But when God created the universe, she did so in order to know experientially all that she knows conceptually. In order to experience love, God had to bring into existence the exact opposite of love, which is fear. To experience love you have to compare it to the experience of what love is not. You have to experience fear to know what love is. You have to know who you are not in order to define and know who you are. So you have to experience who you are not in order to experience who you really are. To know experientially what you know conceptually. Unity consciousness tells us that we know conceptually we are one with God, so in order to know experientially that we are one with God, we must also know in our experience that we are separate from God. God allowed us to do this by a beautiful collaboration with us, her spirit children, when we voluntarily choose to forget who we really are (that we are one with God), upon entering the physical world. At this point we go from the three part being that we know ourselves to be of mind, body and spirit, and one with God, to a physical world where we don't have any idea about who we really are. It is in the forgetting of who we really are that we are allowed to create ourselves as who we choose to be. This is God's great gift to us. We are on our own to create, as we please, the experiences of our lives that allow God to know, through our experiences, all that she knows as concepts. So we enter this world without a clue as to who we really are. But God didn't just drop us here without a system for us to figure out who we really are again. Like most of the systems devised by God there is a beautiful dichotomy to it that makes it simple, yet very complex. Here is the simple explanation: We are created as a three part being made up of mind, body and spirit. We are created in the image and likeness of God, which means that we have the same abilities that God has. We have, within us, the same power of creation that God has. God is aware of all her powers, but we agreed to forget that we have her powers. That doesn't mean that we don't possess these powers. It just means that we are not aware of them. We possess the power to create our lives out of our intensions by using the three-step process of thought, word and deed. We not only possess this power but it is a part of our very being as we use it throughout our lives in every second and nano-second of our lives. Every thought, word and action is creative at some level of our being. When we entered this physical world we agreed to forget that we have this power, and we are therefore not consciously aware that we are creating all the time. But we are creating all the time by choosing from the myriad of thoughts that parade through our minds during most of our time that we are awake. What we create, using the full cycle of thought, word, and deed, we bring forth into our lives in the form of a feeling or an experience. That is why we are here. To bring forth experiences and feelings. When we have these feelings and experiences we are fulfilling our part of the agreement we made with God upon entering the physical universe. Now go out and create the experience of understanding and knowing that you are one with all of everything that exists, seen and unseen.
