Stay Safe with Gatherbuddy

With any bot there is always the chance of being banned. There are a selection of things that may factor into this. Not only running the bot on your computer, but how it acts in the game, and how you use it. I'll use this post to share some tips for safe botting with Gatherbuddy. If you follow these guidelines, it will greatly reduce the risk of botting.

Firstly, there is always the danger of warden detecting your botting program. With mainstream bots this becomes more of a controversy as they are bigger targets for blizzard. Gatherbuddy has it's own anti-warden code to lower this risk. Sometimes , many bans occur not from software detection but from a GM or player observing you in game.

Gatherbuddy makes an attempt to minimize the risk of player detection while botting by avoiding players at nodes it might typically gather. It also has the giant advantage that most players do not suspect players on flying mounts to be botters. Gatherbuddy is a new kind of bot on the market, and most people do not know of it.

The main risk as a Gatherbuddy user comes from your selling of farmed materials. Blizzard tracks a certain quantity of gold and material movement, and if you transfer all your materials off to another account without selling any, or flood the AH daily with thousands of ore, gems, herbs and eternals, they will catch on at some point. For that reason I have made some axioms to keep your accounts safe.

Gatherbuddy Tips:

* Bot for 5-8 hours per day - Don't leave your account farming all night. Also, if it convenient, log your character off for an hour halfway thru your farming.
* Don't sell off all your farmed materials at once your farming.
* Don't Sell 10-12 stacks of a type materials at a time. If you flood the auction house each day, someone will catch on.
* On the gatherbuddy "Get" tab, uncheck "Ninja Nodes". This house each day, someone will prevent you from taking nodes from other players, which could seem suspicious
* Create a "Whispers" chat tab in game. This way, if you are away from your PC you can see whether anybody murmured you when you get back.
* Take a if you're a herbalist, take Inscription or Alchemy. A miner? Take Jewelcrafting, etc. Turn some of your raw materials into other items and sell them.
* Make your own profiles. You never know if someone on the same server as you might be using the default gatherbuddy farming profiles. If you want to be additional safe, download a user created profile from the forums or make your own!
