Binging on foods such as fast or greasy foods, spicy foods, and sweet foods like candy or pastries. Too much caffeine will also cause stomach discomfort. So will too much alcohol and tobacco. There are a variety of drugs that if used in excessive quantities will cause distress and damage to the digestive part of your intestinal tract. Try to avoid these types of consumption and behavior and you will usually not suffer from any stomach discomfort. Possible Symptoms Some possible symptoms of stomach discomfort may be easily recognizable. These may include Flatulence, Diarrhea, Indigestion, Vomiting, a poor appetite, or loss of appetite. A couple of the more severe symptoms might be cramping, rigidity of the stomach muscles, and a severe or sharp stabbing pain that may feel like a burning or knife inflicted type of pain. Nutrition plays a vital role in the functionality of your stomach so try to eat as healthily as possible to avoid stomach discomfort. Natural Remedies that Help There are some natural remedies that may help you in the event that you do experience stomach discomfort. Some of the more well known natural remedies are peppermint and fennel tea. When mixed with water, sheered, strained, and cooled down will ease stomach comfort and if used daily is great preventive action against any stomach discomfort. Some essential oils from herbs like peppermint and fennel are also very effective in curing stomach discomfort. Other teas like chamomile, lemon balm, valerian herb, and rue will also ease stomach discomfort. You may even want to try bathing using rosemary oil particularly if you suffer from stomach aches or cramps. Aloe Vera is also good for this type of treatment.
