Thatch Roofing Shingles and Industry Manufacturing Standards
|
Most of the thatch roofing shingles that you see these days is not made of thatch at all, just simply designed to look like it. This is actually much better because there is little chance that true thatch would stand up to any kind of fire. It would simply burn like tinder or straw! Of course if you live in Hawaii or some other tropical place then you may still be able to get real and authentic thatch roofing done but probably not where you live. If you still want that look of exotic living then look into the fake thatch roofing shingles. These kinds of roofs are actually quite good. They have proven that they can stand up to just about anything that nature has to throw at them and that they can do so well. They look fabulous and you can install them quite easily. The most common colors of thatch roofing shingles are yellow and a golden tone but there are some other varieties such a green. The green gives a more palm like look that many find very attractive. These are just the shingles to set your home apart from the rest around it and they will last you for at least 50 years with ease. Check them out the next time you are in the market for some new shingles, you might just like what you see.
