The Acne Cyst Treatment
|
But what are really cysts? A cyst consists of a large hard bump under the skin, which are deeply inflamed and infected. Palpating the cyst will usually bring a sensation of discomfort and/ or pain in the subject. Giving the fact that cysts are found deep in the skin also means that they are less likely to respond to topical treat (external treatment). The approaches available are thus strongly limited by this. Typically cysts do not appear on the face, but rather on the neck and shoulders. The first phase of acne cyst treatment is to actually make you feel more comfortable. This means that you must wear light clothes, which will let the skin breath. Also it is recommended to avoid perspiration. Sometimes these measures alone are enough to make cysts retreat and finally heal. Never attempt to squeeze the acne cysts as this will inflame them even more and is prone to leave scars. You must also understand that cysts, by being an infection can be treated successfully with antibiotics. The effects can be quite dramatic and can lead to total cyst extinction in a matter of weeks. As with all antibiotics make sure that you follow the treatment exactly as prescribed, otherwise the bacteria which infects the cysts might become drug resistant. If the infection has developed drug resistance, you can try using sulphamides, but bear in mind that these drugs have a great deal of nasty side effects. Topical treatment can still be used but with a notable decrease in their effect. Keeping the skin at the proper sebum levels, will in time heal the cysts. A complete acne cyst treatment should always contain this approach too. If you are a teenager suffering from acne, it probably best to avoid antibiotics altogether and wait instead to grow out of acne. In time the hormones will balance out on their own and the acne will be nothing more than a bad memory. Altogether the best way of treating cysts is prevention. If your skin is prone to acne, take good care of it and start a holistic approach. Try to keep the level of sebum at average level and at the same time wear proper clothing and avoid sweating, About The Author: Adrian Holz is skin specialist and been writing about acne problems for last 15 years.
