The Wonder Of Wooden Toys
|
These days other materials such as plastics and plaster-of-Paris are also used for manufacturing them. The boat used by the boaters is also made of wood and the miniatures of these boats are also used as the wooden toys. These wooden toys can be used to teach children art of construction and building. In the parks where children go to play in the evenings we find wide variety of wooden toys such as the see-saw, skater, swing with wooden seats etc. These wooden toys are built ergonomically to suit the children's need while they are playing. These toys made of wood are generally cheap and can be bought and installed inside the house itself so that the child can play those games indoor also. Apart from these games for playing there are wooden cubes made which are carved with the alphabet. These cubes can be used to make the kids learn the alphabet with ease and also with creativity. We can also make our own wooden toy for the kids at home. If we are having some carpentary work at home, we can collect the left out pieces of those works and try making a cute toy from those pieces and gift it to your child. The activities that anyone enjoys in the world are playing with toys and listening to music. It is wonderful to know that these both also come together. The musical instruments like the piano, drums, psaltery etc are also one category of wooden toys where we can enjoy music as well as play with them. Other wooden toys played with are the tennis racquet, cricket bat, boomerang, wooden ball etc. These wooden toys are preferred because they are environmental friendly and do not cause and pollution to the atmosphere. But, there are also disadvantages of cutting the trees which causes global warming and soil erosion. So, we should mostly try to avoid cutting trees and recycle the use of wood. The wooden toys manufactured should be quality checked, that they should have any sharp edges or rough surfaces that hurt the children playing with it.
