Thermos Gas Grills

When you think Thermos you think drink holder but that's from another era. These days Thermos is highly competitive in the grill market and I must admit the Thermos gas grills are both priced competitively and offering a reliable product.

But wait let's not forget they also look great! There are several sizes to choose from. The Thermos portable grill is perfect for the backyard, the cabin, the beach, or that picnic. It's compact, and because it is made by Char Broil it has plenty of grill years to back it.

While the large four burner stainless grill is durable, heavy, and perfect for that patio or deck. And of course there are all the options in between these two. So you get to pick which size and style is right for you.

In fact that brings us to another topic. Thermos doesn't actually manufacturer grills. Char Broil builds these grills for Thermos and uses a mix of parts. This is one of the reasons that this grill sells for so little. You might get a mix of good, bad, and middle of the road parts on these grills.

It comes with three burners providing good variety in grilling and the BTU output is good at 40,000 BTU on the main burners and 10,000 BTU on the side burner. It has electronic ignition and porcelain coated grates for easy cleaning and non stick cooking. You get 420 square inches of main cooking space plus an additional 145 square inches of secondary cooking.

There are a mix of stainless parts and non stainless parts. You'll find stainless on the control panel, cabinet doors, and lid. The three burners are also porcelain coated. It also has the flame tamer which is a vaporization barrier.

These days we expect our gas grills to last a long time. No longer are we satisfied with replacing our grill every couple of years. That's why this grill comes with a 99 year warranty on the stainless and 10 years on the porcelain coated burners. The rest of the grill has a two year warranty. Now you've got to admit that's pretty impressive. Nothing like backing your merchandise.

Not only do you get a great warranty you also get a grill that looks great. This is a very fun and funky looking grill that makes it very attractive. It's too bad there are a few construction issues that could have been done a little better.

This grill offers good control over your meal with independent control on each of the burners. The 10,000 BTU on the side burners is more than adequate and although the 40,000 BTU might be a little low it should be sufficient for most cooking ventures.

Assembly is relatively straight forward as long as you follow the instructions that are supplied. So no worries here. Thermos gas grills start at as little as $99.00 so why not go shopping for that new grill? You really can afford it this year!.
