Tibetan om pendant - bringing two powerful symbols together

There are many ways people around the world try to make their body more beautiful. Some prefer tattoos, most prefer clothes to express themselves, but there are also some people that prefer jewelry items in order to make a statement about their beliefs.

Even though jewelry pieces are worn as fashion accessories to complement the wearer's clothing, some people prefer jewelry for an entirely different purpose. For instance, every religion has a symbol associated with it: Christians have the cross, Jewish people have the Star of David and so on. Each of these symbols is believed to have hidden powers that can protect the wearer.

There are many people around the world that are now wearing jewelry believed to have hidden powers even though the represented symbols are not associated with their religion. These symbols come from mystical cultures like Chinese, Japanese, Tibetan, Egyptian and others.

Let's talk about the Tibetan om pendant. This comes from the Tibetan culture, obviously, and comprises two powerful symbols that are meant to make the wearer understand that every action undertaken has an impact on his or her life.

The first symbol of the Tibetan om pendant is the Om. This is the first sound in the most revered mantra in Tibetan culture: 'om mani padme hum'. Each of the six syllables comprising this mantra has a meaning that leads to the purification of one's realms of existence.

In this direction, the first syllable - 'om' - implies meditation. This is found in most Tibetan mantras and the sound or frequency generated by it is also believed by many to be the frequency used by the Creator to create the entire universe.

The other syllables of the mantra target patience, discipline, wisdom, generosity and diligence, in that order. The one who chants this mantra engages in this activity in order to purify pride, jealousy, passion, ignorance, poverty and aggression.

The second symbol comprised in the Tibetan om pendant is the endless knot. This can also be found as one of Eight Auspicious Symbols in the Chinese art. The endless knot has many interpretations such as the inter-twining of compassion and wisdom, the interaction between opposing forces in the manifested world which will unite and lead to harmony in the universe.

There are many other significances of the endless knot found in the Tibetan om pendant, but probably the most important of them all is the infinite wisdom of Buddha. This is due to the fact that the knot has no beginning and no end.

The infinite wisdom of Buddha signified by the endless knot and the meditation found in the 'om' give the Tibetan om pendant great powers that can improve your life more than you think. The key to the success of this pendant is to believe that it can bring the much needed change into your life.
