Time To Review 5 Tankless Gas Water Heaters
|
The tankless gas water heaters do not need electricity. Instead, the water is super heated almost instantly when you require the water. Pressure is used to signal the input of water into a fuse box sized box that instantly heats your water and sends the water to the right place. Of course, as is common with any new technologies, there are a lot of cons that go with those pros. However, as the technology advances, there are less and less of those cons, and more and more of those pros. Now, I would like to take the time to review 5 of the different models that are popular today. Each of thee models range in price, but are not in ny order other than which one I found first. 1. The Takagi Flash TH-1 Ultra High Efficiency Gas Tankless Water HeaterThis is a popular model that is specifically designed for heavy residential and commercial use. This comes with a new technology that pre-heats the water quicker. There is a built-in water neutralizer that provides even cleaner, fresher water. This TH-1 is 95% energy efficient and saves more money than the other models and manufacturers. This is one of the newest models of tankless gas water heaters and utilizes the latest technologies. There is a minimum 15,000 BTU input and maximum 190,000 BTU output. The water pressure is a minimum of 15 psi and a maximum of 150 psi. This is powerful enough for any household, and many smaller commercial uses. The price tag can turn most people off in the residential sector however. To purchase this, you will be spending about $3,890 USD. 2. Noritz is one of the American manufacturers of the tankless gas water heaters. They offer a reliable machine, that also happens to be quite attractive. This is made for a medium sized household or medium use. This comes with a digital remote control and a digital read out that aid in easier setting of this tankless gas water heater. The water pressure is a minimum of 15 psi and a maximum of 150 psi. There is a minimum btuh of 25,000 and a maximum btuh of 194,000. With a temperature rise of 25 degrees, you will get 6.9 gallons per minute; with a 77 degree temperature rise, you will get 4 gallons per minute; finally, at a 100 degree temperature rise you will get 3.1 gallon per minute. The default temperature settings are at 120 degrees, 130 degrees, 140 degrees, and 176 degrees. These qualify for a $300 tax credit as well. 3. The AquaStar 125B tankless gas water heater is just one of the many tankless gas water heaters offered by Bosch. These are a bit less expensive than the others, and it is about the right size for a small to medium sized household. As with other tankless gas water heaters, this offers instant water on your demand. This model delivers a maximum of 3.5 gallons per minute. There is a 12-year limited warranty, and is made by Bosch which has a reputation for engineering excellence. It is only 80% energy efficient, but that can still save a lot of money on those power and gas bills. The maximum btu output is 117,000. The minimum water flow is .50 gallons per minute which is nothing more than a trickle which can cause some problems when people in the house need water when someone is running a shower or bath. This is a great price thought at around $270 USD. 4. ThermElite Tankless Gas Hot Water Heater Hydro Spark Ignition. This is just one model of tankless gas water heaters offered by ThemElite. The company has a reputation fr providing tankless gas water heaters for every home or office. This particular model is supposed to work with any size home. I would say it is a medium sized tankless water heater. You get a maximum of 3.2 gallons per minute at a 60 degree temperature rise. You only use about 117,000 BTU. You can have a energy efficiency rating of 82%. These need absolutely no electricity or ignition switch. You also get a good warranty with this model of 15 years on the heat exchanger and complete replacement of the unit within 18 months. However, this is only valid if it is professionally installed which can cost quite a bit of money. The unit is a bit steep for what you get in my opinion at over $750 USD. 5. Ariston offers a line of point of use tankless gas water heaters. These units fit directly to an appliance such as the dishwasher, bathtub, or washing machine. This is the perfect addition to a whole system unit because it takes the pressure off of the unit. Ariston offers a model that starts at 2.75 gallons per minute. The model GL2.5 is a good example of an inexpensive addition to your current system, or to the new. These start at around $150 USD.
