Tips to Digiscoping with Nikon Binoculars

Many people enjoy going into nature with their binoculars and a digital camera to enjoy natures beauty. Often they go out to watch for birds, and to see how many different varieties they may see in one day. Binoculars are great for seeing birds close up, but with your digital camera, often it may be hard to get close enough to a bird to get a great picture. There is a solution to this problem, and that is called digiscoping. You can use Nikon binoculars and a special setup to take pictures using your binoculars and a digital cameral together. You can get some great pictures by using your binoculars and digital cameral in conjunction to get close up and distinct pictures.

You can actually get your digital camera right behind the Nikon binoculars so that the camera can get the image that is seen through the binoculars. This way you will be able to have the picture at the magnification that your binoculars have. There is some equipment that you need to get if you want to start digiscoping. You will need not only your binoculars, but a special eyepiece, a bracket attachment, a tripod, a digital camera, and a video camera platform.

Once you have your equipment you need to learn how to use it and how to hook it all up together. You have to hook up your camera to the Nikon binoculars and get everything set up on a tripod so it is all held steady. You should probably experiment with your new system before you take it out to take any serious pictures. You have the benefit of taking as many pictures as you like until you find exactly what you want since it is a digital camera. You will be able to make adjustments immediately to get the best shot.

You can actually take better pictures when digiscoping with Nikon binoculars and a digital camera than you can with a SLR camera using a telephoto lens. Not only can you get even better pictures, since you can actually get better than 3000mm focal length, but you will also get it for a much cheaper price. You can buy these binoculars, the digital camera, and the needed attachments, and not even pay half of what you would pay for an SLR camera.

When you do go out digiscoping you need to be sure that you are careful about where you take your pictures and how you take them. Be sure that you do not use your Nikon binoculars and your digiscoping system to invade anyone's privacy. You also want to be sure that you do not disturb nature in any way. Have respect for the area you are in and any people that may be around at the time.

If you are an avid birdwatcher and would enjoy getting great close up pictures of them then you should try using your Nikon binoculars with a digiscoping system. You will get great pictures that you can share with your family and friends, and you can share with them your secret to getting such great photos.
