Tony Horton: Whats The Big Deal With His DVDs?
|
I want to let others know what I have learnt about these exercise DVDs. Here are the major pros and cons that I have identified while using them over a few months. Pros *It is a great feeling working out with Tony. He really loves what he is doing and he makes you feel the same way, as well.*I really like the music; it keeps you going, and it is not at all boring, like I read some reviews saying.*The pace Tony Horton imposed may seem to be too much sometimes; but this is the trick, you do not have time to feel tired and you get through all the routine with flying colors, before even know it.*Still, the videos allow enough breaks, so you can drink a little water.*Stretching is not neglected in these videos; they start with a warm up and stretching, which is not so boring as with different exercise routines.*I like that you can see how an exercise is done from more than just one perspective; this gives a clear idea about what you do.*I also like very much the fun atmosphere they create there.*Because of Tony, the exercises seem to be more fun. Cons *In case you have an old injury, like me, some exercises may be hard to perform.*In case that you find it hard to follow the routine and the pace they impose on these DVDs, it may be quite straining at times.*Tony Horton is a great guy; but I could not say the same thing about his guests, that are some TV stars with the arrogant attitude included.*I must admit - Tony is more talkative than some people may be accustomed to; so, in case you dont like this, then it can become quite annoying at times.*You will need some equipment so you can perform the exercises; so you need to make sure that you have a pull up bar and bands at your disposal.*The thing with the neighbors is what gets on my nerves sometimes; as you need to jump up and down for many exercises, you will not have such a good time with those living under your floor.*I did not care for the book that was sold along with the DVDs; it does not contain too much and I dont think that it helped me in any way.*The same thing I can say about the nutrition guide; it does impose some strict diet rules which I dont get it - instead of condemning yourself to eating something by berries and oats for your entire life, just choose something else.*Another thing that I find quite annoying during workouts is that they try to sell some nutritional products during the videos; I find it quite lame and even Tony goes a little bit over the top with this. Conclusion You will need some space in your house and willingness to integrate some new exercises in your routine. In case you are like me, you will love the atmosphere they have there, as well as the motivational speech that Tony has. But, that diet they are talking about I dont think so! You can still lose weight and build up some muscles with their exercises, without starving yourself or eat only bland food. About The Author: Camie Ibara is the Editor and Publisher of Article Click.
