Toothache Pain Relief: The Remedies In Your Kitchen



Toothache is something that we all have experienced at some point in our lives. When a tooth and its surrounding begin to hurt, we would do anything to get rid of this nasty sensation. What happens is that tooth decay gets inside the pulp of the tooth and when this reaches the nerves, we will be all squirming because of the pain.

Toothache pain relief exists and you can get the perfect remedies to get away from the agonizing pain. Of course, going to the dentist on a regular basis can help a great deal, as you will be able to maintain the health of your teeth for a longer time.

When you experience that unbearable pain, you may be tempted to try all kinds of experiments with your teeth and gums. It is best to try only natural, verified remedies, as they carry no side effects and you will not be able to worsen your condition.

1. You can use an icepack, as it will numb the area around the teeth and the numbness will make the pain stop for a while.

2. Make your own painkiller concoction out of five grams of peppermint, some water and some salt. Bring the water and the ingredients to boil and then drink the mixture lukewarm.

3. Experiments proved that cucumber can act as a great toothache pain reliever. You just need to cut it into thick slice that can be placed around the aching tooth. You will soon feel a soothing effect.

4. A home made anesthetic is a pang of whiskey. The alcohol helps with increasing the numbness in the area, so you will be relieved of the pain.

5. A good remedy for abscess at gums is to hold oats on the affected area, to take the puss out.

6. Another great painkiller recipe involves keeping dried peppermint leaves around the tooth for a quarter of an hour. You can repeat this for ten times per day. This remedy will take the puss out and it will relieve the pain.

7. With some vanilla extract, you can grease the inflammation and you will get less pain as the vanilla will act as a numbing agent.

8. Clove oil is on the list of home made remedies. If you do not have, just take a few cloves and squeeze them on the area that hurts. This will decrease soreness and it will take the pain away.

9. On the list of painkillers, you can also find asafetida. A half spoon with some lemon juice must be heated slightly and then applied on the aching area.

10. Iodine can help, but you will need to be careful not to swallow it.

11. A natural antibiotic is oregano oil. You will feel the area burning when applied, but you will enjoy its benefits.

12. From your kitchen, take some garlic, make some paste and mix it with rock salt. Apply this on your aching tooth.

All these remedies can be used to relieve pain in a short period of time. To reduce the incidence of tooth pains, rinse your mouth with salty water after you eat and before bed time. You can also massage your gums with salt.

When other pain killers are not handy, try a few of these remedies, as they can help you without giving you extra trouble.
