Top 5 Things Vacuum Cleaners Rated On
|
1. Price is a primary consideration when choosing a machine. No matter how technologically advanced a new model may be, that is all irrelevant if the consumer cannot afford to purchase it. Therefore, well made products with a reasonable baseline price are likely to receive a higher rating than their overpriced competitors. Unforeseen sale prices or limited time discounts are normally not factored into these ratings, because they are inconsistent. However, the non-sale price is often adequate to judge whether a particular model is a good value. A list of vacuum cleaners rated on price alone, however, does not provide a complete picture. 2. Emissions, or the amount of pollution generated by a unit, are a prime concern to many consumers. Pollutants such as dust and debris that are thrown back into the air, as well as exhaust from the unit's onboard motor, should be kept at a minimum. Most consumers prefer a model that works efficiently, with very low emissions, as we all value the quality of the air we breathe in our homes. Therefore, models with quality air filters built in, which are likely to have cleaner emissions, are becoming very popular. 3. Durability of a vacuum is somewhat subjective but can still be qualitatively evaluated. How likely a unit is to fail within the first six months, year, or five years, gives the consumer a clearer understanding of the durability of the machine and how frequently it may need to be replaced. Most people don't want to invest money into costly repairs, so they will choose a model with a good track record and low failure rate. 4. Noise levels associated with vacuums are often unpleasant. Most people can remember plugging their ears as children while their parents vacuumed the living room rug. Technological advancements have made a quieter machine possible, however, a desirable improvement over previous models. Low noise levels preserve our precious hearing ability and make cleaning less of a disturbance. In some cases low noise levels indicate a lack of power, which we will deal with next, but that is all factored into the overall rating. 5. Effective cleaning ability refers to how well the machine performs on both bare floors and carpeted areas. A thorough evaluation will include the machine's performance on different types of carpet, such as shag carpeting and plush carpeting, to see if the machine has any weaknesses. A vacuum that consistently powerful in all areas is likely to receive a high rating. Consumers must bear in mind all of the factors discussed here before coming to a final decision about which model to purchase. It is important to choose a machine that scores well in all areas and is well suited to your personal cleaning needs. About The Author: Jesse Rosato is the Editor and Publisher of Article Click.
