Total Body Workout - Do it At Home



Many people end up going to the gym to workout. However, you don't have to end up at the gym to get a great workout. You can work out your entire body at home and do a great job. It saves you the cost of going to the gym and it will cut down on time spend working out as well. If you like the idea of working out at home, then you'll want to learn the best ways to workout. Here are some tips and ideas that will help you to get a total body workout, even though you are working out at home.

Aerobic Exercise at Home

First of all, if you are wanting to go with a total body workout, you are definitely going to want to be doing some aerobic exercise at home. This is important to working out the entire body. There are a variety of easy exercises that can be done at home so that you can get the aerobic workout that you really need. You can start by biking outside or you can even get a stationary bike for indoors. Running is a great option as is watching a kick boxing video and working out along with it. Just dancing is great for aerobic exercise as well. Turn up the tunes and start dancing and you'll work out your entire body and burn off a lot of calories too.

Strength Training for the Upper Body and Core

When you want a total body workout, you will want to do some strength training for your upper body and your core muscles as well. There are a variety of ways that you can do this at home. You can do this by using some dumbbells to work on that upper body strength, including doing curls and other exercises that can be done with dumbbells. Push ups are great ideas as well and work on the core muscles as well as the upper body. Shoulder raises can help you to work on those muscles and you can do them with some weights in your hands as well. There are so many strength training exercises that can be done for a total body workout at home.

Strength Training for the Lower Body

You are going to want to train the lower body as well when you are doing your home total body workout. There are some great ways to work on your lower body at home too. Squats are easy to do and they are a great way to work on the lower part of your body. Calf raises can easily be done, either on some stairs or near a wall. Other options include some plie squats, wall sits, and more. You can do lunges as well, which are great options for you when you are working on your lower body.
