Traveling To Brisbane With Kids

If you do plan to travel with the kids, you will benefit if you research some of the many fun activities for them to take part in. There are so many activities to keep them entertained and occupied during the trip including parks and adventure games for all ages. The parks in this area are beautiful and offer fun and imaginative activities as well as a calming oasis of greenery and trees for the whole family's enjoyment. Kalinga Park is located right on Park Avenue and is home to a large play area, sand pit and tree houses for climbing. This park offers a lovely sitting area for the parents to enjoy as well as BBQ grills for family cookouts. The creek with it's native ducks and a dog park are two of the major attractions here, along with the bike paths throughout the park. Orleigh Park is on the West End and it is quite unique. The Giant frog slide is the center of attraction. The beautiful paths and gardens offer a great exploration experience for the whole family. Along the river's edge, this park is great for young children, given the parents keep a watchful eye. Accessible by ferry this makes a great day trip for a picnic and outdoor activities for the entire family. If you are looking for some afternoon fun with the older children then make a stop at New Farm Park on Brunswick Street . This very popular park is home to giant fig trees, great for hide and seek plus lots of challenging climbing equipment and wobbly bridges that provide hours of enjoyment for older kids. Great for a picnic or lunch at the fancy cafe, a trip to New Farm Park is an experience you wont want to miss. Lastly, you must consider a trip to the fabulous water-based playground right at the end of Edith Street. The Wynnum Wading Pool and Playground makes for the perfect afternoon of splashing. Here there are multiple large play areas which include whales and water spouts and a water-active climbing nets for the kids. There are snacks available so come to Wynnum and make an afternoon of it. With it's many wonderful activities, Brisbane is the perfect vacation spot for families with kids of all ages.
