Traveling with a TV-Set in Your Backpack

Today's technologies are showing lots of different and amazing devices day by day. Some of them are useful, and some are just for fun. But the best part of modern technologies is when usefulness meets fun, like they did in portable TV-sets.

How many times you didn't know what to do while traveling by bus or train and just kept staring at people around you, examining them and singing in your mind songs you could remember. And we all know that books stop helping after one or two hours of travel, the radio starts to annoy, and if they have a TV-set in the bus, they don't always show something you would like to watch. The same thing happens when you come to your hotel room.

There are portable DVD players that are really helpful in such cases. You can take your favorite DVD's and watch them wherever you want. But these portable players have such small screens you can barely see the details sometimes. This is when we come to another curious device that could entertain you while you travel.

The device that has a larger screen and better quality than a usual portable DVD player is the 12 volt TV. It also has a disk drive for your DVD's and more than that, you can even watch some of the local TV programs. The great advantage of an AC/DC TV like this is that you can not only watch it on accumulators, but you can also plug it into the electric grid and charge it. If you want, you may even use it as a PC monitor. Usually a TV like this has a 15" screen which will make your viewing much comfortable opposing to portable DVD player.

You may even use it as a usual TV-set as it has an A/V input and coaxial cable (cable, satellite, antenna, etc.). This is a device that will help you to not get bored wherever you are. You can even watch it in park, while waiting for someone. It's not that big, you can simply carry it in your backpack.

Of course, these TV's have some disadvantages, as any other devices also do. For example, you can't carry it in your hand, like a portable DVD player. And it is also not as comfortable to hold on your lap. You will never get used to it as a regular TV in your house – the screen is too small for usual houses.

But anyway, it is great for travels, maybe for work, during your lunch break. This is probably the best way to smooth over the boredom. Of course, you shouldn't forget about books, while you're traveling or residing in your hotel room, but let's be honest – you can't read books all the time, neither you can listen to music all the time. Therefore, you need something a little more distracting and more entertaining. A 12 volt TV is the great choice, if you're not a Quaker or an Amish.

Next time you are going to travel, don't forget to shop online for an AC/DC TV or visit one of your local shops for the same cause. This is your way of shortening your time in the road and not getting bored while in your hotel room. Don't waste your chance!
