Treadmill Motor - When the Motor Dies
|
Purchase Treadmills with Warranties Of course if you want to prevent having to pay for a new treadmill motor later on, you may be wise to make sure that you purchase treadmills in the first place that have good warranties on them. Usually the warranty will end up covering the motor of the treadmill as well. This way when the motor ends up going bad at some point in time, you can simply go back to the company and get a replacement motor for free. However, if you don't do this and the treadmill motor goes bad, there are some other options to consider as well. Try an Exchange Program Another option that you have if the treadmill motor happens to go bad is to try an exchange program. Sometimes you will find that the manufacturer offers an exchange program. You will have to send the motor with the problem in and they'll send you a new motor. You'll probably have to pay a little bit of money for the new one, but you should get a good discount. Usually the motor is rebuilt though and not totally new. However, this is an option to consider if you need to replace the motor on your treadmill. Consider Buying a New Motor Last of all, if you don't have a warranty on the treadmill and you find that there is no exchange program, then you may have to consider buying a new motor for your treadmill. A treadmill motor is not usually that expensive to purchase, and depending on where you purchase it, you should get a fairly good deal. However, if the price is too much, consider actually purchasing a used treadmill that works instead. You'll probably pay about the same price and you won't have to worry about actually installing the motor into the treadmill, which is definitely not such an easy task. About The Author: |
