Tuna Diet: How To Lose Weight In Only Three Days



Supporters of tuna diet claim that you can lose up to twelve pounds in a week if you stick to the meal plan. We will show you know how the three day tuna diet looks like.

Many people love the idea of being able to shed fat in only a few days. Whether you need to attend a special event or you want to be able to get in your new bathing suit, such diets are for you. Three day type of diets have certain principles, so read on.

How does it work?

The effects claimed by the fan base of three day diets draw a lot of attention. There are not many diet plans that can help you get rid of twelve pounds in only several days. That is why so many are interested in such diets.

This diet plan is based mainly on the idea that it is a low calorie diet, as the main food you get to it through all the duration is tuna fish. The other principle that makes the body lose weight is that you will also get to lose a lot of water, which will lead to loss of weight.

It is not recommendable to follow this diet for more than three days. It is best to take a break of four or five days before repetition. Lower the intake of fats during the break.

What can you eat?

You will get to eat more than just tuna. The allowed foods are fruits, coffee, ice cream, vegetables, cheese, water, toast and saltine crackers.

You can indulge in some other ingredients that can make the food tastier. While dieting, you are allowed to use herbs, pepper, salt, mustard, lemon or vinegar, as well as tomato sauce or soya sauce. Any intake of sugar must be limited to diet sugar. Remember to drink at least four glasses of water each day.

A diet sample

Here are some ideas on preparing your meal during the diet.

On the first day, have some tea or black coffee for breakfast; ad some grapefruit juice and a slice of toast with a little bit of low fat peanut butter. On lunch, eat half a cup of tuna, a slice of toast, tea, or black coffee. At dinner, have a little bit of lean meat, with a cup of vegetables, like carrots or peas and an apple. Drink water to your heart's desire.

On the second day, start your day with a poached egg, some tea or black coffee, a slice of toast and one fruit. For lunch, have a cup of tuna with some saltine crackers, and drink a diet soda. For dinner, you can have two hot dogs and a cup of vegetables, like cabbage or broccoli, and a little bit of ice cream.

For the last day, have some cheese, a fruit and black coffee or tea for breakfast. For lunch, prepare yourself a hard boiled egg with a slice of toast. At dinner, eat a cup of tuna, with plenty of vegetables, like cauliflower, carrots and have some melon and some ice cream. You can add black coffee or tea to any meal.

Do not follow the tuna diet more than once per week. What you have lost you will not gain back on the following days, if you manage to keep yourself away from the harmful foods that are high in fats and calories.
