Ultrasound Cellulite Treatment - Does It Work?

Almost every woman can find a little cottage cheese somewhere on their legs, thighs, or butt. And we detest it! But what can you do about it? And is it true ultrasound cellulite treatment will work?

Well there are several treatments on the market. Some work better then others and much is dependent on your own skin. So although there's no one cure for everyone there are some treatments that might help some.

What exactly is cellulite? It is a lumpy fat found on hips, things, and buttocks of women, although men get it too. It really is a non medicinal term to describe superficial fatty deposits. If you gain weight the fat cells enlarge and can even look worse. And don't make the mistake of thinking it's only heavier women that get cellulite thin women do to.

Don't mix up normal fat and cellulite. Fat insulates our bodies providing energy stores and it's essential to body function. Cellulite however is a condition where the fat is constricted by bands of vertical fibrous connective tissue and when it rears its ugly head it sure makes us feel ugly but in reality its still plain old fat which has just placed itself in obvious positioning.

So what are some of your treatment options?

1. Endermolgoie or LPGOriginating back in the 1980s it has been successfully used since then. It offers a non invasive non surgical procedure that temporarily cures the contour of the skin. It's like a big vacuum device which creates suction to lift soft tissue. A session takes 30 to 45 minutes.2. Target LiposuctionIs very controversial and can be dangerous if the surgeon is not skilled in the procedure. It can ruin your skin if not done right. Introduced in 1989 it was designed to tighten skin where there is poor laxity.3. Soft Tissue AugmentationIs used on dimples and dents and the technique itself is very important.4. MesotherapyUses phosphatidylcholine and deoxycholoate injections to remove dimples and dents. The biggest problem is these injections aren't controlled real well.5. Ultrasound TreatmentsIs a non surgical procedure to remove fat and it's an exciting concept because there are no severe side effects. It however does only work on small amounts. It breaks down the fat which is then absorbed by the body and sent through your system.6. Laser LiposuctionPioneered by Dr. Rodrigo Neira. This is the most commonly used procedure and it is very efficient at removing small amounts of fat turning it into its own removal system.7. Body WrapsThey don't make you loose fat rather they compress the tissue which causes you to loose water and thus make your skin look better. It is temporary.8. Cellulite CreamsThere are all kinds of these on the market. Whether they actually work remains debatable. Best to try for yourself and then decide.

Cellulite is a common problem that more than 90% of women fight at some point. Try some of the many treatments available and why not start with the ultrasound cellulite treatment and see if that helps?
