The original two stage process is quickly being replaced with the one stage process because it is faster and more thorough. If you buy older equipment you can save substantially. But it's a trade off because the safer equipment is the stuff that cost more. The ultrasonic cannula will need to be replaced regularly according to the manufacturer's instructions. This is an expensive maintenance so be sure you budget for it. Same goes for the probe which is damaged with each use and needs to be replaced every 20 or so operations. There are some new systems being tested which use external ultrasound emitters to treat areas. There is much less risk associated with burn and the outer is passed through the skin which can damage the outer layer of the body. If ultrasound is expensive and it creates additional complication why would so many people be interested in it. One reason is because it can treat problems that the traditional methods can't. For example large amounts of fat can be removed in just one operation and there will be up to 50% less bleeding. And there is an attractive quality that reduces the need to wear compression stockings. It also has the capability of breaking up fats in the face, abdomen, neck, back, calves, and buttocks. It may also break up cellulite. Ultrasound liposuction is going to cost you more while a traditional liposuction is much more expensive and more dangerous. You'll get the beneficial of powers of the newer methods at prices that are less than the traditional styles with a prices tag that's so much easier.
