Unconscious Choice Does Not Serve You

Spirituality information tells us that the secret is that all of life is a choice. Your spiritual growth tells you that some choices serve you and some do not. The law of attraction always works whether you are making choices that serve you choices that don't serve you.

We make choices about our state of being that affect everything we do. Remember, your being creates your doing.

When we choose to “be sad" we immediately start doing sad things. Our facial expression changes to a “sad face." We may choose to cry, in which case our physical body will create tears that well up in our eyes and overflow onto our face.

We create mental images of the situation that has caused us to choose to be sad and we use those images to bolster and perpetuate our sadness. Our physical body takes on a posture of sadness and we speak in more subdued tones with conciliatory phraseology.

What are we doing here? We are creating sadness using the three-step process of thought, word and deed.

We have a thought in our head about sadness over some observed or perceived sad situation. This is just a thought. We have free choice to dismiss this thought or pursue this thought as something we want to manifest into our reality.

We consciously or unconsciously choose to pursue the thought. This is a critical point in the creative process. This is where much of the confusion and turmoil in our lives begins. This is the point where life becomes effortless or life is a struggle. It all begins with a thought.

This thought is different than choosing to wear tennis shoes. Choosing to wear tennis shoes is one of those catalogues of choices you have from “being casual." By “being casual" one of your top priority choices of footwear is tennis shoes. By “being casual" what you do is wear tennis shoes. Your beingness creates your doingness.

The thought of sadness directly affects your beingness because if you choose to pursue this thought then you are making the choice to “be sad." The key then becomes the question, “Are you making this choice consciously or unconsciously?"

If you consciously choose to “be sad" then you are also conscious and aware of the natural consequences of “being sad" and can use that knowledge to determine if “being sad" serves you or does not serve you. You see, if you consciously determine that “being sad" does not serve you, you may want to make another choice, such as “being happy." If you choose to “be happy" in a sad situation you will do different things than if you had chosen to “be sad."

By making this conscious choice you are able to realize the potential benefits or detriments that occur when you are in the state of being called sad. This awareness of all the different aspects of your physical and nonphysical nature allows you to make a decision that serves you and justifies your desire to choose this experience.

You see, you are choosing an experience! The state of being you are in while you go through the experience will affect the experience. That's why it is so important to make conscious choices concerning any state of being that you desire to experience.

If you make the choice to “be sad" unconsciously then you are unaware of the natural consequences of your choice. You are unaware if this choice serves you or does not serve you. You are even unaware of why you made this choice to “be sad."

You just made the choice automatically as a response to certain stimuli that has caused you to “be sad" in the past. You don't think that you “chose to be sad," you think that you just “became sad."

But it is a choice. It was just made automatically as part of an overall state of beingness known as “living unconsciously" or “sleepwalking through life."

Many people have conditioned themselves to live that way because it seems like the easiest thing to do. Just remember, usually the easiest thing to do almost always turns out to be the hardest in the end.
