Use A Fertilizer Injector For Your Greenhouse.
|
An injector requires little effort. You just fill the canister with a water soluble fertilizer, turn on the water, and apply. Now what could be simpler than that? It will automatically distribute it through your drip system and ensure even distribution to all of your plants. Fertilizing your home lawn and garden is one thing but for a greenhouse that's in business to provide healthy plants to the consumer it is even more important. So you will want to do your calculations carefully to ensure you provide your plants with the optimum application. Proper fertilizing will ensure that you produce the highest quality plants possible. And let's face it healthy plants sell much faster. There are a group of nutrients that are important to your plants which includes nitrates, magnesium, and calcium. Magnesium and calcium need to be mixed into the soil prior to planting but the balance of the nutrients are water soluble and can be applied with the aid of water. Use a fertilizer injector to inject your water soluble fertilizer into the irrigation line which will then distribute it to all the plants so that they get the exact amount of fertilizer needed at the right intervals. It's easy and convenient, with no hassle! Rates of fertilizing are given in ppm of N or parts per million of nitrogen. This measurement is designed to tell you what the concentration of fertilizer is and it is standard throughout the fertilizer industry. So for example if the recommendation is 100 ppm N and you are using a fertilizer that is 10-10-10? That means that the fertilizer has 10% nitrogen so you will need 27 ounces in order to make 100 gallons of 100 ppm N solution. And if the formula was actually 15-15-15 you would need 18 ounces. Because the amount of nitrogen varies greatly depending on the fertilizer it is very important to have this standardization so you know what you are dealing with. As the mix passes by the injector it will deliver a stock solution mix to the plants so if you had a 1:100 injector it would deliver 100 gallons of fertilizer solution for every gallon of concentrate. You're a pro grower so you already know the amount of fertilizer that your plants need and using standardization makes it very easy to deliver it. The information is available on all of the commercial fertilizer product bags so read carefully to determine what you need. Use the formula for your calculations. No matter why you are fertilizing whether it's your home gardens or your business greenhouse using a fertilizer injector is the easiest way to fertilize and every time it will reward you with the most delicious vegetables and the most gorgeous flowers on the planet!
