Using Pre quilted Fabric in Your Home Decor Projects
|
Because pre quilted fabric is heavier than a normal fabric, you can make some great drapes out of it. Be sure that the color of the fabric matches the room you are wanting to drape, and get that sewing machine out and sew some up. Maybe you don't have enough to drape the whole window. Find a coordinating fabric, and just use the quilted fabric to make a quilted valance. You will find that tassels added to the bottom of the valance will create an atmosphere in any room that you did not think was possible. This is a great way to use up fabric that is left over when you want new drapes, but are short on fabric to do drapes. Another way that you can incorporate pre quilted fabric into your home decor projects is to make pillows. Maybe you already have pillows, then you can just make covers for them, and add another cover to the mix. Everyone loves throw pillows on the sofa, and the more you have, the more inviting your sofa will look. Be sure that the fabric coordinates with the room the best that you can, and you are sure to have a comfy looking sofa in no time. If you are looking to make pillow covers, or pillows, and do not have enough fabric, simply find a fabric that matches the one you are using, and make double sided pillows. This way you get to use up the fabric that is getting in your way, and you have great pillows as well. Pre quilted fabric makes great tote bags. Wether your fabric is brown or not, this type of fabric is great for tote bags because it is so durable. You will find that there are many uses for a tote bag, and you will love using the one that you made to show it off. As you can see, there are many ways that you can use pre quilted fabric in your projects. Whatever the project is, you will find a way to work it in. Use your imagination and be creative. You will find that this is the best way to get rid of left over fabrics, and make room for new ones. Just because a fabric is made for a certain project, does mean that is its only use.
