Vacuum Cleaner Belts - What is Available By Brands

Vacuum cleaner belts are parts that occasionally break. As the belt wears down, it will become thin, develop cracks, and start to slip and squeak. Then one fateful day when you plug in your vacuum cleaner and turn it on the belt will snap, and the roller bar will stall. To replace this belt is pretty easy. If your machine is still under warranty all you have to do is call the customer service center at the company that manufactured your machine and ask for a replacement part. However, if your machine is no longer under warranty then you will need to invest about $3 to buy a replacement belt.

If you need Dirt Devil vacuum cleaner belts then you will need to get the part number from your owner's manual, or look it up in a Dirty Devil parts guide. The belt for the Platinum Force Bagged, Vision Self Propelled, Ultra Vision Turbo, or Vision Wide Glide is belt number 1LC0011600. The Upright Belt Style 4/5 works for the MVP, Featherlite, Swivelglide, MD7900 Steamcleaner, and Vision models. If you have a Broom Vac then you will need the Broom Vac Belt, which retails for about $3.50. Belt style #3 is intended for the smaller Dirt Devil canister vacuums with an electric powerhead. If you have a steamcleaner model number 7000, 7100, or 7150 then the belt that you will need is the Style #7 belt.

If you own a Eureka vacuum then your vacuum cleaner belts will need to be selected based on the model of machine that you have. If you have a Hand Vac then you will probably need a 53A Hand Vac Belt. If you own a model number 93 or 96 Eureka Stick Vac then you will need a belt-cogged model vacuum belt. Stick Vacs with model numbers 93, 94, 96, 167, and 168 will need a small cogged belt. For the Eureka Upright you will need the Bravo/Victory Flat Belt. Other available belts include World Vac Power Nozzle Belt, U Belt-extended life, Whirl Wind Belk, Upright Belt Round Replacement, Cogged Belt HF1Oxygen Canister, Belt for model 431A.

Hoover also offers a great selection of belts. The Empower Hoover Belt is compatible with several models including the Hoover Elite, the Runabout, and Hoover Bagless uprights. If you are shopping for a Hoover Stick Vac you will need to look for a cogged belt. If you have a self-propelled Hoover model then you will need to buy a Powermax Agitator Belt. If the belt that runs the pulley system in your self-propelled Hoover model breaks then you will need a Hoover Drive Belt. Other belts that are available through this manufacturer include the Power Nozzle Celebrity Belt, the Soveign Belt, the Twist Vac Belt, the Quadamatic Power Nozzle Belt, the Innovation V-Belt, and the Dial-a-matic Belt for Brushrollers, Convertible Belt, the Wind Tunnel Self Propelled Flat Belt, the Wind Tunnel Self Propelled V-Belt, the Elite Belt, the Bagless Hoover Upright Belt, and the Wind Tunnel Non Self Propelled Upright Belt.
