You may see Wandering Jew plants that feature some other colors as well. They are more rare though so many people immediately realize that they are the same type of plant. You may find them with some bronze, pink, or cream for stripes instead of the silver. You can tell though if it is a Wandering Jew plant though by looking at the color on the back of the leaves. A Wandering Jew plant needs to be indoors in order to thrive. They can last for many years with proper care. Many individuals find that even if they haven't' had success with growing healthy plants before they can with this variety. They do require plenty of sunlight so be careful where you place them in your home. You want to give them enough water to make them soaked. Then let them completely dry again before you give them anymore water. You want to pay attention to the temperature in the room too that any Wandering Jew plants are in. They seen to adjust well when they weather changes but you need to make sure they don't get too hot or too cold. You want to keep it away from heating and air conditioning vents. That way extreme temperature changes won't be affecting it. You may find you need to move it from one room to another when the seasons change too. This way you can be sure the plants continue to get enough sunlight. If you find that your Wandering Jew plant is drying out, the air may be too dry. They seem to do much better in areas with high humidity. You can add a humidifier to the room in order to help the plant be able to successfully grow. You may need to only have it on for a few hours each day. If you have them on in your home anyway for everyone's benefit then be sure your plant gets exposure to the moisture as well. Since a Wondering Jew plant can become very large, you want to make sure you have it in a large sized hanging basket. You will also need to prune it occasionally to keep it looking healthy. The dead parts of it can result in an otherwise healthy plant being destroyed. By taking the time to remove them you will help to ensure your Wandering Jew plant can continue to brighten up any room in the home you have placed it in.
