Apart from having much better quality pictures to watch on your TV if you have a digital satellite TV system, there are other benefits to be gained from having such a system in your home. You have a much wider range of satellite TV channels and programs available to you compared to analog TV. This provides you with a more well-rounded viewing pleasure. Plus there are some companies now that have produced satellite receiver boxes which allow you to record a complete series of programs onto a hard drive installed within them with a one button activation. Before you get too excited and want to watch digital satellite TV rightaway, I need to warn you that there are also small disadvantages when it comes to watching digital satellite TV. The biggest disadvantage is the effect of weather conditions on the reception. If the weather turns bad, say there is a thunder storm, then you may find that your satellite TV system starts to lose connection with the TV signals. This means that you will not be able to watch your TV program at all. But as you can see, there are more advantages to be gained from having digital satellite TV compared to the old fashion analog TV in your home today. In fact more and more people are now turning to digital satellite TV for their viewing pleasure today than ever before.
