Water Spicket - Part of Your Garden Decoration
|
Most of the time there is already a water spicket in your front yard or backyard. Even if what is already there looks rather drab or downright ugly to you, you don't have to accept it the way it is. If it is in a place where it will be in or right next to your garden, you can surround it or cover it up with some things that can change the whole look. Perhaps some decorative rocks or metal; or you could even paint the water spicket with a shiny metallic paint that improves its look tremendously. The key to making your water spicket be a lovely part of your garden is to use your imagination and consider the look that you are trying to go for. If your garden has a Japanese type of theme, then you could arrange decorative rocks around it so that when the water is on, there will be a gentle waterfall effect. If your flower garden is meant to look wilder, then you could modify the spicket with rocks that look like they belong in a forest or meadow. You could even buy a new spicket that looks like an old fashioned water pump. If you end up buying a new decorative water spicket for your garden, there is no reason why it has to become your main spicket. You can run a hose from the old spicket to the new one and put the hose underground so that it doesn't detract from the look that you are going for. One of the advantages of buying a new decorative spicket is that you can place it wherever you want, giving you more of a choice as to where you think it would look best. You'll find that with a little imagination you can make your spicket a beautiful part of your garden. About The Author: |
