Before you refinish a floor you need to give it a good going over with the hardwood floor sander. This is the tool that is most needed because it is the one that is going to make sure that you get all of the old bits of finish off. If you were to leave any of it on there then the floor would not look perfect when done. It would have lumps and bumps in all of the wrong places. If these bumps were allowed to be there, not only would they look bad but they would also increase the chances of the floors finish peeling and chipping in those areas. There are a couple of ways that you can get a good hardwood floor sander. First of all you can g out and buy one. This will set you back at least a couple of hundred dollars and chances are you will never have to use the machine again. Do for one weekend's work it seems a little silly to spend all of that hard earned money. But if you like to use your credit card then go for it. If you do choose to buy your own sander then you need to consider whether you want to buy it online or offline. Since this is a pretty big purchase you may want to get it online where you can save a little money. If you are really strapped for cash though try looking in your local Buy and Sell for used ones. The other more sensible option is to go out and rent a hardwood floor sander. This is easy to do. In all towns and cities there is at least one store that rents out hardware equipment. Find this store where you live and talk to them about renting the sander from them. This will save you tons of money and you will still get to do a wonderful job on your floors.
