Where To Buy A Cheap Used Treadmill

A new, good treadmill will set you back at least $1,500 but you can buy a cheap used treadmill and save yourself hundreds of dollars. The used market is very popular but many still don't where to buy one. Here are a few pointers to show you where you can find a good used treadmill at a cheap price.

You can find a used machine for sale everywhere but the problem with buying a used treadmill - like buying any used product - is to make sure you get one that's in good condition at the right price.

Many stores sell reconditioned treadmills. Buying a used machine from a supplier has one great advantage; reputable stores first check out the old treadmills to make sure they're still fit for sale, then, they recondition them, and lastly, they usually sell the used machine with a warranty. So, buying one from a store gives you piece of mind; a good used treadmill with a warranty. However, the downside is you'll be paying for this good service. Stores selling used machines aren't the places to find a really cheap one.

Another place that's often touted as a good place to search is exercise gyms. Gyms are always trying to sell off old and unwanted treadmills. And you can buy their used machines very cheaply. But, buying them from a gym is really asking for trouble. The treadmills used in gyms have taken a lot of punishment. When you buy one from a gym you're probably going to be buying one that's on its last legs. You'll get a cheap machine for sure, but just as surely, you'll be getting an expensive pile of useless junk.

Buying online from people selling them on eBay and CraigsList is another option that is becoming increasingly popular. But again, you should be very careful when buy you online. You don't know who these people are. Are they legit? Or, are they trying to sell used machines from a gym? If you do buy on the internet you should buy from someone who is local, so you can go and check out the machine before you buy it.

Finally, this brings us to the best place to buy a used treadmill: from people in your own neighborhood. As popular as treadmills are, many people buy but never actually use them. Often, they will try and sell the treadmill secondhand, but often they don't bother and just let it stand idle at home. It's from these people is where you can buy a good, cheap model, often at a giveaway price.

All you need do is place a few ads around your neighborhood. It doesn't take long; you don't need to write that many; and it doesn't cost anything. You can even specify the brand and model you want. You'll be amazed at how many people want to get rid of their treadmills; and many of them will be practically brand new with warranties that are still valid.

So, what are you waiting for? Write the cards and leave them on the notice board where you work, your gym, your local stores and supermarket. It'll cost you nothing. You don't have to go looking where to buy a cheap used treadmill, they'll come to you.
