Ringtones are all the rage these days, so there is no wonder that big money are being made out of them. But word has it that really free ringtones exist, so everybody chases them. There is a danger here that you may not be aware of. On many websites, ads saying free ringtones pop before out eyes, yet, when you get to try them, you will be required to pay 10 dollars to get only one free ringtone, for the subscription that allow access to other ringtones. In the beginning, for those that still remember those times, ringtones were not exactly complicated. They were just a few sounds, like beep beep, and nothing more. Users were allowed to composed their own ringtones, by entering some codes from their own phones. Nokia and Motorola had been used with these custom made ringtones, but many loved to get their hands on free ringtone converters for the branded type phones. The age of polyphonic ringtones followed after; these were composed of midi files which were composed on multiple channels to produce a realistic sound. There is an enormous amount of midi files on the Internet that you can get absolutely free of charge. Through the millions results, you should be able to find a free midi file that corresponds to the sound that you are looking for. After you identify your favorite ringtone, you must upload the file to the phone with bluetooth, or a datacable, or an infra-red connection. If this does not work for you, then search for a website that lets you upload files on their servers, and then you can download the ringtone from there into your phone. The most modern ringtones are the MP3 ringtones. These sound exactly like the real thing so they are the most popular. You must have tons of MP3 files on your computer and even on your cell phone, including your favorite songs. From there to transform that into your ringtone there is only one single step. First, you need to search online for a software that can help you process the sound from the MP3 file and modify it so it sounds like the ringtone you want. This software is so good that it can allow you to cut the exact part of the song that you like to make it into your ringtone. You can actually have a whole library of really free ringtones, only by using this software.
