Why Choose Citrus Dishwasher Additive

Clean dishes is a combination of a good dishwasher and a good dishwasher detergent. Adding a citrus dishwasher additive will give you that little extra punch. So we decided to tell you about a couple of our favorites by Cascade.

This light citrus scented gel has become one of Cascades top dishwashing cleaners. It's a gel form and it leaves your dishes with a wonderful shine. The citrus ensures a clean rinse with no spots or drops. And it's biodegradable and phosphate free so you'll be doing your part to protect the environment. You can safely use it in your septic system and it won't destroy lakes, streams, and rivers.

Cascade Citrus has been a real hit and I think it goes beyond the great job it does. The packaging is catchy and fun. The jug is on the larger size but it comes with a sturdy handle makes it no problem to handle.

The citrus scent is refreshing and invigorating. Your kitchen takes on a wonderful scent while your dishwasher does it's job. And there's no remnant of the scent left on the dishes so you don't have to worry about that. Remember the early lemon scents? Everything you ate tasted like lemon. Those days are gone.

Cascade actually offers their citrus additive in two products. Their gel and their pouches. The gel is simple to use. Simply fill the soap compartment, close the door and off you go. The pouch is even more convenient. There is no fuss no muss. Just drop the pouch into the compartment, close the door and you're ready.

Dawn is the basis for Cascade dishwashing soaps and it's a great product so it is only logical that I would like it in the dishwasher version. And of course I was right.

The pouches are exceptionally convenient with no slopping, no measuring, no anything. They are water soluable so make sure your hands are dry when you are handling them.

Now let's talk about performance. On a scale of 1 to 10 I'd give this product a 10. It works well, cuts grease, no streaks, no spots, and no fogging. There's no reason to rinse the dishes. It cuts through grease without hesitation. And it's easy and convenient to use.

As with any of these cleaners it comes with a warning not to get it on you skin or in your eyes and to keep it away from children. It also lists the first aid treatments clearly on the packaging.

If you choose the pouches you can buy a pack of 20 pouches for around $4.00 so that works out to about 20 cents a cleaning. The gel works out to about the same price so both are very affordable options.

Shop on line and you can even save more. I think either form is a great buy and with all that cleaning power how can you go wrong?

There are several other dishwasher detergents that have a citrus dishwasher additive but of all the ones I've tried Cascade remains my favorite.
