Why You Should Buy Fabric by the Bolt
|
When you buy fabric by the bolt for a quilt, you are sure to never buy too much. All quilters know you can never have too much fabric, and you will always find a project to work most any fabric into. Wether you are making scrappy quilts and use it up there, you might also like to make dolls and doll dresses. Even a little girls dress for the little girl next door if you wanted to. When you are quilting with your fabric, it is always better to have more than not enough. What if you cut a block the wrong way? Maybe you need to make more blocks than you bought fabric for? You would not have to worry about the store being out of the fabric you chose for your project, and you will not have to worry about what if mistakes that we all make from time to time. Home decorator sewing is also a great reason to by buy fabric by the bolt. Have you ever been fabric shopping and found the perfect fabric for the curtains in your bedroom, but yet you don't have measurements and not sure exactly how much you need? When you buy more than you know you will need of the curtain fabric you will be sure to have enough. With the left over fabric you can always make pillow cases, pillow shams, or even throw pillows to go on your bed. Perhaps you have an old wingback chair in your bedroom that needs upholstering too. Using up that leftover fabric will not be a problem at all. You could even make it into a throw for the bottom of your bed, and it will match your curtains beautifully. Upholstering your furniture is another reason that you might want to buy fabric by the bolt. When you are upholstering your sofa, or even a chair, you will want to be sure that you have plenty of fabric without stretching it too thin. If you happen to buy too much for this project, you can make coordinating throw pillows out of it, and they will look like they were purchased with the sofa when you are done. This is an excellent advantage for buying more than you might need. There are many reasons as well as advantages when you buy fabric by the bolt.
