The huge popularity of blogging is ever increasing. It reaches such a level that we see people from all walks of life blogging online. Businessmen, professionals, students and now even politicians start to blog as well. People started blogging because they recognize the effectiveness and powerful of blog; it can easily reach millions and millions of reader all about the world.

And, if you are still questioning about the benefit and effectiveness of having a blog, here are some of the reasons why you should have one:-

1. Express Your Thoughts and Opinions

A few years back before blogging becomes a popular trend, if you have any opinions and feel that you need to speak out, the only places you can go to is the traditional newspaper or magazine. Even then, there is still a possibility that your article was not being published and if they do, they might be altered by the editor.

With your own blog, you got the freedom to write and post all your thoughts and opinions; nobody can stop you from doing so. Of course, you will still want to be careful of the thing you write to avoid any unnecessary legal issues arises out of it.

2.Help People

If you are knowledgeable on certain topic or field, a blog is a good way to showcase your expertise and know how. People are constantly searching the web for information and know how to solve problem that they faced daily. Blogging about your expertise will help people and as the same time, establish your online presence as an expert in that field.

3. Stay Connected

The world is changing. People are now more willing to move and settle in different part of the world, so, it is not uncommon to have friends or family members living in different places. A blog provide another alternative way to keep connected with people beside the traditional ways like email or telephone. All that is needed is an internet connection and you can upload your latest photos, videos or stories for your friends and relatives to know how you are doing.

4. Make Money

Yes, no doubt about that. There is money to be made from blogging and some of the famous bloggers actually made piles of it. But, it is important to know that to make money from blogging, you need to have patience and it takes a very long time to do it. If you are expecting big bucks from the beginning, then, you will be very disappointed. It is not going to happen.
