Wireless Phone Jacks - A Satellite Solution
|
Wireless phone jacks work along the same premise as wireless Internet or wireless phones. There will be a base upon which the jacks will communicate back and forth, and it is this base unit that uses the actual hard-wired jack and phone cable. The base unit is the only thing that has to be hard wired to an installed wall jack; the wireless phone jacks have several options for where they can be placed. This means that you don't have to string wires all over the place so that you can have your computer or receivers where you want them. Like with all new and innovative products, wireless phone jacks do have their drawbacks. Many people find that the signal from the base unit to the wireless units can vary in strength, depending on factors such as what other appliances are running or how far away the base unit is from the wireless jacks. These aren't problems for everyone, but they happen to some people on a fairly regular basis. Some of these things can be worked around. You can try to make sure that devices that might interfere with reception are placed away from the base unit, and you can try to put the base unit as close to the wireless jacks as possible. The bottom line is, if synchronizing your phone wiring with the devices that need them is a problem for you, wireless phone jacks are definitely worth a try. Depending on your circumstances, you may find that wireless jacks are the perfect solution for you. If you purchase the wireless jacks and base unit and find that they aren't going to work in your home, you can always return them for a refund. About The Author: |
